Excellent!! Congratulations! I'm guessing you are using 1/8 cable. Lots of skinning ahead. Don't forget the Vicks under the nose LOL.

thanks guys it was an awesome day i am by no means an expert when it comes to wolves if i catch a couple a year thats good for me. This year i wanted to make a dent in a large pack give what few deer are left on line a fighting chance
Used one eigth cable eighteen to twenty inch loop twenty inches from bottom of loop to hard pack
friend of mine is useing one sixteenth with stingers no water head no chew outs he is very good at snareing wolves going to give his method a try. I got my first chew out last check any input to improve would be mutch appreciated

I've always used 1/8 with a camlock. No BAD or Stinger. Never had any chewouts with 1/8. Looks like you are doing well with your method. The less you educate them with chewouts of course the better. Keep up the good work!

The big male I caught a few weeks ago in 1/8 cable, the snare was 10ft in length! Usually make them 8-10 ft, but I am no snaring expert, just going off what I have learned on here

Excellent job JAWA! Congratulations on your harvest.
Does anyone have any idea how many yotes and wolves are harvested every winter. You all are doing a fabulous job.
You're all doing a great service to our ungulate populations. Thank you.

Don't ask me how this happened cause I have no clue....Yote was snared around the right ear only then somehow twisted itself up in a way that still put pressure on the sides and bottom. Was dead, and honestly very little sign of struggle. Kinda weird so figured I'd share. Only closed loop though was around the ear.

Very weird, good for you to hold him though. I've had them caught in the mouth and behind both ears and dispatched but never by a single ear.

Did the tracks look like he was trying to avoid the snare and brush the edge when the snare come down on his ear? Neat that is unbelievable if I told that story to guys down at coffee without proof they'd tell me to go have another drink. Hahaha great pic. I might try and win some money from the old guys

Strange catch
Coyote had a rabbit against its neck, snare went around coyotes neck and rabbit at same time.
