Fracking bill defeated in Florida - led by Republicans

This has been a huge issue in Florida, and I am somewhat surprised that a Republican Senate (the Republican House passed it) would defeat the bill that would allow fracking.

The vast majority of the Florida geology is totally different than Alberta - it is a karst limestone which is already very porous. It is also that karst structure which is the cause of all the sinkholes you hear about.
