Default Weird fish seen in Stoney lake

So me and my buddy got skunked at Stoney today but seen something very weird, well I think it's weird anyways, we were fishing over by rodeo grounds, sitting jigging for perch and checking he jack traps, all of a sudden a large (10lber roughly) what looked like to me a sucker fish of some sort possibly a carp, I am not 100 percent sure what it was but I know it wasn't a jack or perch that's for sure, anybody have any clue what this could be?

Yes i did, I suppose your a fisherman who has never been skunked. We moved 4 times, set up jack traps at each location and jigged for perch, nothing was biting i guess.

Sounds like a sucker. They can grow to that size.

Default SHAWN: Sucker?

Hopefully it wasn't an exotic introduced fish. Otherwise, I'd agree, most likely a White Sucker as many people have caught them up to & bit over 10lbs.
