Blacksands camp fort mac, you been there?
Anyone here been to the blacksands camp outside of fort mac? if so whats it like and is it comparable to the Albian village camp?

Never been to Blacksands but know some people who have and have been told that there is no better camp around Fort McMurray. Albian Village is horrible when compared to Blacksands. The only issue with Blacksands is it is a bit of a drive from most any sites up there.

I have stayed at the Blacksands Executive camp, working for Marathon Resources. Dang nice, nicest camp I have ever stayed at. Great food, steak nite was with crab legs. Then there is the Blacksands other camp behind the Executive one never stayed there so don't know what its like.

never been there just heard the stories, When I was at albian sands I thought it was pretty good. There is one complaint I have but then the racist card would be brought up

Anything is better then old firebag LOL.. I worked for PTI for 8 years and we did some camp for Marathon,,,,,,, Blacksand is highly recommended

There are so many camps at Firebag now some are better than others. I always get stuck at Firebag Voyager. I don't like that place. Just keep me out of Wapasu too. hehe

just like home but not quite
most of them arent very nice places to spend a 3 week tour. some should be levelled and some should be shut down due to dirty conditions. i get a chuckle out of the security people to. there are a few good camps up there like denman, oilsands lodge and sunrise( its old but clean and the food is good). think blacksands has a good recreation fac.

When told I would be staying at Millenium,, I rescinded my slip at the hall, and went fishing for a couple of weeks until something better than that menengitis, moldy, craphole came up.
