I was abandoned by my Alberta buddies the last day fishing for Jumbos. The last day on the ice was some of the harshest conditions out there. Wind, rain, sleet, snow, white out conditions and soaked to the bone. Nothing was going to stop me from putting a few slob perch on the ice though. Just goes to show what you can do on two feet and a whole lot of hole hopping on a slow day of fishing. Perseverance always pays off even when the fish are not cooperating. Sorry for the wind noise and periods of time where I'm almost completely muted by the wind. Hope you enjoy the action on some great fish.
Good lord. Beautiful fish right there. Good work and thanks for sharing. They hitting big hooks hard by the looks of it. That's good perching when they do that.

Yeah these perch act more like walleye... they'll come in and chase a lure 3-5 feet off the bottom before they inhale it.
Awesome footage of some real perch tanks.
Im curious, how long a drive is it to Cascade Lake from central Alberta?
I'm not sure since I drive from the coast. There is this handy function on Google called Google Maps. If you punch in your address and the final destination it will give you all the information you are looking for including various routes, estimated times and distance.
Nice Jumbos!
Bet your buddies wish they had stayed
Haha... I'm sure the did, but it's a long drive and they were going to the Garth Brooks Concert the Following day in Edmonton. Fishing vs Brooks, tough.
