Default Wildlife in 526

Well finally starting to see game here in 526. The last couple of evening we are getting the mist about 2 feet above the ground at dusk because it cool off finally at sunset.

Seeing elk, moose and last night I seen a 180 plus whitey. What a sight!!. He ran to the bush line and I couldn't get a pic of him. Also seen a few good mule bucks in one of my other fields

They are hitting the sow thistle hard that is coming up in my crops . They love that stuff. Very juicy at this time of year especially when we were having a hot dry summer.

WMU 526 is a barren wasteland, void of trees and wildlife.....I hear the place is radioactive too....no gas stations either.

Hunters with any brains don't go there.

Thats what I like to hear LOL. Maybe our wildlife will stay as good as it is with no hunters. More for me to look at. Cant beat seeing them walking with that beautiful head gear.

I see from your reply on another thread that you weren't at my land, or were you?. LOL.

How are the grasshoppers up there? We are being overrun by them at Valleyview.

Id like to post pics of those deer down by the Duncan reserve, but I cant seem to get stills from the video.....Im reading the manual tonite for sure.

The real problem in WMU 526 is guys that come there and shoot without asking permission. They screw it up for the rest of us. If they would just ASK, chances are they would get permission and meet a farmer at the same time....

ASK PERMISSION. Have a good hunt.

Yup, that CWD outbreak plus all those rabid coyotes and foxes really haven't helped much either......

I hear the "Cleardale Plague" has killed off most of the moose and elk too.....

Oh well, Im gonna hunt near Nordegg....much better

I here down south around the cities there's lots of game. Maybe I'll head down there too.
Haven't seen a moose or elk for so long I've forgotten how they look.

I stepped on a big one on the weekend, must have been close to 3 inches. Biggest I've ever seen.

The last three years I've been up there I've seen tonnes of game and most of the farmers were begging us to take our four muley does. Seen a wolf up there two years ago I think between them and the tonnes of snow in the winter the game could be taking a hit. See you boys up there this fall.

Went out for an evening scout and seen cow moose and calf, cow elk and calf, wt doe and fawn, nice mule buck and a great wt buck I would say in the 160's with a spiker tagging along. Beauty of it all they were all on my land LOL. Took some vids

I am sure I would have seen more but this farmer stopped me and needed a ride and that took my prime minutes of scouting from me. But one must give a helping hand because I hunt his land.
