That there is the salt and opportunities in your own backyard overlooked. At least I'll bet there is. You already said you are not doing ice fishing any more. Sounds like you used a shack. Move around much? Ever used a camera to see what makes a fish hit and what doesn't? Try different lakes and different species?
Do you fly fish or have tried it?
