Default 257 weatherby brass

I am looking to buy a couple hundred 257 weatherby brass. Where can I find some for decent price here in Canada?
I have looked at the U.S sites and it is hard to find down there. I have some friends coming up in the fall and are going past Cabelas but wonder if I can get it cheaper up here?

You can make them from .264 or 7mm rm brass.

Hey nube,

Hard to get that kind of stuff shipped in from the States. As you said, if you have a friend coming up from there, the Norma brass is $78 for 50...I paid $120 at P&D.

bobinthesky is right,

I made a few from some 7MM RM Winchester brass, but the neck is way shorter after resizing them and I don't know if it would effect anything...any answers to that one?

Good luck nube.

Cabot.

if you happen into a sweet deal on brass maybe get a bulk price on say, 500... if a couple others wanted too gang up and split the shipping..id be up for 40-100 also.

I can get it up here from the U.S and have a buddy driving up this fall. The cheapest norma brass I have found is $130 and wish it was $78. If you know where to get it for $78 let me know.

Roger I will see what I can do about the bulk sale but it seems it really doesn't shave much off of the price from my findings bu then again I have not seen much for the 500 bulk sale either. I will keep lookin and see what I can come up with.

Hey nube,

The price I gave you is in US dollars. You said you had a friends coming up to see you from the States, they could order it for you and we could send them the money and then they could bring it down.

Here's one link, and it's cheaper than what I wrote earlier, $72.25, but they're out of stock for now:

Let us know.

I'll look into it guys and if I can find a good deal and get 500 or so up then I will go for it and PM you when I get it. I am sure the price would be better than from here.

Just be aware that it is a federal crime to export brass from the USA without an export permit, whether it is shipped or carried as luggage.

I recently purchased about 150 pieces of once fired 257wby brass. Found a bit here on AO and the rest on CGN.

I have been looking and tried about 10 different places in the U.S. They all seem to be sold out right now and won't have any till fall or late winter.

I paid a little better than $2 a round for Weatherby (norma) unprimed in Red Deer a while ago ( I think it was $42.00 a box of 20). I felt a little violated, but I guess such is the price of a Weatherby, and it does not now sound like as bad a deal as it did at the time.
