Default 2017 ice shack build in progress

Just sharing some pics of the build. I bought the shack this spring the way you see it on the gooseneck from a guy down in Breton. It’s 8x14 and made from foam insulated panels.I’ve painted and installed windows on the exterior. Inside is all furnished with cupboards, a nice little vented propane room heater, leather couch and chair. I run three TVs, two which I’ve modified the power cord to run on 12volts which broadcast the fishing cameras. Running the TVs and cameras, switches all while charging the batteries only pulls about 5 amps out of the smart charger. This way I don’t have to run a generator all the time. When I do run a generator I use the third tv to watch satellite tv through a bell receiver while I’m recharging. I still have to install the pine paneling that’s laying in the garage and build a top bunk above the couch. I just may never come home till the end of March if it all works out lol. I ’m using tapatalk on my I phone for the first time, so bare with me if this falls of the rails trying to post pictures.

Looks good, the paint came out really good also, I like the color combo, is it copper color? Did you use a sprayer? With all the TV's in there its reminds me of a sports bar! lol. Enjoy ice fishing in a t-shirt and shorts!!

Thank you, it’s called Portsmouth spice lol, a good ol can I had mixed up from Home Hardware. I slapped it on with a roller and brush. I was trying to beat the cold weather so I wasn’t aiming for perfection. It’s like a rust colour, almost like ATK trucking, or the BC lions ? With the planned neon signs and wainscoting and chair rails, it could double as a pub shed. More pictures to come in a few weeks

Small update, 3/4 done by my estimates. Rubber flooring, catch cover holes, furnace mounting, bunk bed, and final paint touch ups and the interior is done. The outside still needs a true metal skid and the camper jacks to be attached.

Sweet Shack!
Put it on pontoons and you wouldn’t need to come home at all!

Well done! You need to let us know where you’re setting up so we can stop by and see it in person!

Has the feeling of a night club!! Didn't see any pictures that had fishing holes in it though. Sweet shack!

That is a SWEET shack! Really like the fireplace with the fish camera TVs on the mantle. Also curious how heavy your shack is and how you plan to load/unload at the lake?
