Default 300kg Sturgeon

http://www.mytelus.com/ncp_news/arti...icleID=2987490

CHILLIWACK, B.C. - A B.C. fishing guide has one heck of a fish story to tell after hooking a mammoth 300-kilogram sturgeon on the Fraser River.

Rod Toth was leading a fishing trip with four other men last week near Chilliwack when there was an unusually strong tug on the line.

The group tried to pull up their catch for nearly three hours before they were finally able to bring the giant fish to shore.

Toth, a 40-year-old guide who operates out of Chilliwack, says he knew it was going to a big one, but he had no idea just how large it was until they pulled it to shallow water.

The sturgeon, which was tagged and released, was more than three metres long and 1.4 metres around.

Toth says it was especially exciting for his clients on the boat, who were from out of town and fishing on the Fraser for the first tim

I know I was going to post that too actually , was just trying to finger out how to work the darn scanner . That thing is a mamoth . There 7 of them holding on to the thing . And the Edmonton Journal is saying it was a 318 KG . So thats 699 LBS and 6 OZ , took them 3 hours to land . Man that would of been one heck of a fight .

I bet Buckmaster can't catch one of those on a pickrell rig .
