Default Draws were a bust, now what...

I have been pretty lucky getting drawn every year. Now this year, nothing. I am considering the Whitetail general licence. Where would you go using Calgary as a starting point? I was looking at EID-Brooks or Crown out near the trunk road (not from the road!). Is Brooks crazy busy? Thanks.

PS I have not hunted White Tail for years, Mulies for awhile now.

Thanks for the direction. I will see what WMU that is and look into it. I guess nothing trumps getting out there and putting some miles down scouting different areas.

X2 on Caroline area. Love it up there. Lots of room for everyone and plenty of game. Great views as well. Really nice country.

Thumbs up

You can also get a general elk tag for quite a few zones SW of Calgary. Black bear and general whitetail too. Most of 400 and 402 is crown land. Also, there are quite a few antlerless mulie and whitetail tags available through the undersubscribed system in the 100 WMUs.
