Great. Now enough with the bogus legislation and get Canada’s energy industry moving forward.

Likely means we cannot turn the taps off either at least in term of the government forcing the valves to be closed.

“Invitations have gone out to all Indigenous communities — over 300 in British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan,” said Harrie Vredenburg,a board member with Project Reconciliation, a company that has set up shop in downtown Calgary in order to help negotiate and facilitate a 51 per cent equity stake purchase of the Trans Mountain pipeline expansion project.
Delbert Wapass, the former chief of the Saskatchewan, Thunderchild First Nation, serves as Project Reconciliation’s executive Chairman. Any Indigenous group that wishes to participate in the purchase bid is welcome, he said, and would not be required to invest any money of their own.
“What we’re proposing is zero risk for First Nations,” Wapass said. “We’re not asking them to invest anything other than their time to look at what’s being proposed.”

They've already announced they will appeal.
But it was struck down unanimously (5-0).
Very little chance it would win on appeal.

They will run every avenue of appeal they can, Stall, stall stall. Enough, turn off the taps on the malcontents. Block everyone that wants to come to Ab, no hunting, no travel, charge a BC commie fee on hotel rooms, block their wine, don't spend a cent in the greenie heaven. Sick of those@#$^&.

Spring time in BC, I imagine the protester camps should start being set up over the weekend, for the summer. I say you protest you get arrested, done period. Start digging tomorrow and just go, run over anyone who gets in the way.

Agreed. The world seems to have utterly lost its collective mind with this stuff. Enough already. Common sense needs to make an appearance somewhere in this country.

Agreed. I used to buy into all this propaganda coming out of high school trying to make a difference. I got my BSc Ecology. Got a single job for a few months with the AB government, and that's about as far as that went. Completely changed career paths. I'm well educated, 8yrs post secondary, and the level of stupidity, as far as what's going on these days, is nothing but absurdity and ridiculousness.

Good chance the SC will not look at it due to the 5-0 ruling. The SC takes up close cases. Better than average chance they just say no.

Must be horrible to bear that anger all the time.
Especially to those who live in BC that actually support Alberta all the way.
Shaking the ol' noggin once again...

Certainly come across as a sad, sorry little man.

You're quite right Nog. The anger has pretty much hit the boiling point in much of Alberta. I'm sure we do have the support of many in B.C. , especially those in the north east. They work in oil and gas also. Unfortunately, we aren't hearing much noise from those supporters. Why aren't they raising h%## with Horgan and his pal Weaver?? Well, enjoy the $1.60 + gasoline. Hopefully it will be over $2.00 / liter by July and $3.00 before the end of the year.

This thread is a great example of how narrow minded some can be... Why on earth would anyone want to punish others who have no control on the decisions made by politicians ?
How soon we forget that our province was governed by a party that I didn't support, nor may on this board. Does that mean the rest of the country should feel ill intentions on myself and others who reside here ?
Blame yourself, as obviously it was "your" decision we are in this particular situation...

They do have control, they elected them, just as we did. You live with your decisions, good and bad.

Well, I hope you remember the longest run in Canadian political history, from 1971 to 2015 the PC party governed Alberta. That is in excess of 4 decades and we are mad at BC there is no pipeline to tide waters
Let us take the easy road and blame our neighbors....

Yes they got voted in. But as I recall it was almost a 50/50 split , I've heard that close to 70% of BCer's want the pipeline. Hopefully the SC will toss out the appeal and the line will commence.

The TMX wouldn't have been such an issue if Energy East and Keystone hadn't been scuttled...which all 3 were approved at one point.....so, what's your point?

I think my point is fairly obvious Hal... Blaming others for inept governing is wrong in my opinion...

Not really that hard of a concept to grasp, you"d think! Even mods are appreciating a one sided thread
