Talking This deal is too big for the 'found a good deal' thread if anyone needs a welder

https://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/l...-0588988p.html

On Thursday Canadian Tire will have their Lincoln Multi Process 210MP welder on sale. It is $1799 down from $1899, which is several hundred $ less than anywhere else I found.
But wait! There's more!!!!
Thursday is 30x points back, so the $7.56 I would normally get is...

wait for it......

$226.80 back in Canadian Tire Points!!!! That's straight cash for consumables!

$1899 - $100 - $226.80

$1572.20 final price.

It is a mig/tig/stick unit. I happened to have a brand new spool gun, so I am now ready for anything small that needs to be blooped together!

Well, I didn't look into it enough, and did not realize that it did not weld aluminum. Mig or tig. It was a shame, I really liked it. This does both.

I just use a rally big magnifying glass, some rod and a grinder.

And just so I'm contributing, there's this nice Badlands pack for less than half price online:

I bought this unit last year and it has been a really fun unit to learn on. The units display system and how it walks you through the whole set up is pretty awesome. I’ve really only used the mig so far but now that it’s nice out I might try playing around with the sticks praxair gave me when I bought it.

This welder looks like it only does DC TIG, so no welding aluminum if that's what you are after.

I have a Lincoln TiG as well for aluminum duty.
Although, this unit does run a spoolgun for aluminum. I had a brand new spoolgun in the case, was very happy when I found out I could finally use it.

FWIW, there are only 3 of these welders in Calgary area CT stores...

1 in Dalhousie NW, and 2 in Okotoks.

And I freely admit there are certain things we need to hire professionals for. Welding and flower arrangements come to mind - not that either are in any way related. These are just two particular skills I woefully lack.

Why would anyone be blooping things together?

Now you need to figure out a way to configure your welder to work with your 3D printer. Just to make it interesting.
