I think if you are looking at this for a fairly young person just getting into archery and for target shooting purposes only it should be just fine.

I know that to legally hunt big game with a bow the draw weight must be at least 40 lbs, but even for small game I'm not sure if it would be wise to go below the 40 lb mark. I am thinking probably not.

You could look at the Bear Young Gun or the Apprentice for a youth bow that is actually geared towards hunting, but I guess it all depends on the age of individual that will be shooting it.

30 pounds should be fine if you keep the shots fairly close and with a light weight broadhead.

I use to shoot gophers with my old Browning compound at 11 years old. The draw weight was set at 32 pounds.

According to Bear's website Wholesale Sports carries Bear - I have also seen some Bear bows at Bass Pro as but I guess you'd have to call and see what models they have in stock.

Yes the Chaos is very nice also, I was looking at that one for my wife actually. The best thing to do is have the person who will be shooting it test shoot each one so they can see what fits better and then go from there.
