Preping for spring

Havent even walked on ice yet this year, but Im already getting the itch for open water fishing next spring. Going through a lure making website, and figure I can do up 100 pike spoons with gear for 100 dollars. Plus paint. Compared to almost 3 dollars a pop for cheapos in Wallyworld or Crappy Tire, I think thats a pretty awesome deal. Something to do on one of those nasty winter nights with the wind howling and the snow building up cheek deep. Website is at

Im all for saving money, with the savings on 100 spoons I could buy a few tanks of gas and do some serious fishing. might take a few years to use them up, but what the heck, Im going to buy them eventually anyways one way or another! now if only they had kits for making Storm wildeyes
