In the 80s staring at others at a light was pretty common in PA, but people liked to fight a lot then too. Staring at someone was a good way to get that to happen.

Now I never bother to check out the other lane occupant, just don’t care anymore.

Ha yup. One of my less than fond memories was "you want your face to look like the paint job on your car?". Didn't end up so well for him as an older bully that didn't realize guys grow up.

Driving a motorbike I always check what’s up around me to see if the drivers are aware and that habit I naturally carry over when driving my truck etc
Saved my bacon a few times.

I pulled into Grande Prairie yesterday to pick up fuel on my way home from a job in Chetwynd, BC. After fueling up at a station I pulled out onto the street and found myself behind a vehicle with this decal on the rear window. I have no idea who the driver was or what she looked like but I think I am in love with her!

It's a bit blurry after trying to zoom in through a dirty windshield but it reads "Just a Canadian Mom trying not to raise Liberals"...

GOD BLESS HER!!!

Hilarious when someone important and moving at the speed of business blows by n cuts you off to get ahead then you meet them at the next light...They look everywhere but at you

All the time.
No idea why I do it either, I just do. Maybe because I like observing who and what is around me.
I've never considered why I do it, but I'm sure I will wonder every time I do it now.

Thumbs up Situational awareness + team work

Here is a good example of why you should be aware of the other drivers around you. While this could have been handled in a safer manner, it looks like it ended well.
