Default OK, so what if.....

Ok so lets just say you are sitting in your hottub outdoors on your land -and you have tags and all for deer on the land - then suddenly that buck you have been scouting for 5 years walks out - stands there like in a disney movie and almost laughs at you.

If that hottub man happens to have his favorite rifle there - can you shoot the deer from IN the tub ?

Asking for a friend.

If its legal shooting time open season and legal to discharge a firearm from the hot tub why wouldn't you shoot?

The bigger question is if its open season why waste your time in the hot tub?

You should be armed all the time

If not for the deer, then for the commies

Illegal.
Well assuming the hot tub is close to an occupied dwelling.

I’m assuming he is thinking of the discharge of a firearm within 200m of a dwelling. This is only the case if said person does not have permission to do so.

I’m assuming if it is OP’s hot tub he is good to go

I don't understand what would be illegal about it. Would it be any more or less Illegal if you were watering the Flowers, Squaring up with the Dog, swapping an Engine or watching the game?

That depends. In most rural jurisdictions, if you are the owner/occupant of said dwelling, or are authorized by said owner/occupant, you're good to go.

You have to be careful, though. In some areas, the way the bylaws are worded, you technically can't even so much as shoot a slingshot within a specified distance of an occupied dwelling without being in violation.

Always check the local bylaws, especially in acreage country...
