Shrimp Work!
If you are going to use shrimp make sure they are fresh and they are not canned!

Hmmmm, Is that the best you have Fishfinder? Yes I am sorry my computer decided to frap out, I can't decide when I want it to happen again so that I can talk to you again! You are sooooo memorable! Ha ha ha....Screw off! Anyhoo, Those ice fishin for Rainbow Trout.. Shrimp is the best and if you have REAL worms they work the best for the summer month's. Shrimp and Maggots work ther best for ice fishing.

shrimp for the win.... ( canned or not!!!) kicks the crap out of power bait...... 8/10 trout say so.... we have have tested the theory numerous times to the same conclusion. were talkin power bait in one hole drilled 5 feet from the other hole countless times. out of the 200- 300 trout caught in winter, my rough estimate, is that70 % took the shrimp, be it brookies or rainbows.

I almost never use powerbait. Shrimp or other "real" bait catches way more fish. Only keep the BP in tackle box incase I run out of everything else.

Ive been having lots of luck with Gulp maggots for perch, and some trout as well, fun to see them fight over the hook thru the ice  never tried shrimp tho, I wouldnt leave too many for the fish
