Right now is embarrassing???
It has been embarrassing since this drama teacher put his name in the hat and then became the leader of this country.

Not so sure, the clown of a PM we have seems to be a source of non-stop entertainment, even if the theme is tragic.

To some it may be entertaining, but it's embarrassing that Canadians could put such a fool in charge of our country.

Not at all.
It's a big news story and what happens in the US often has great effect on us and our economy in Canada. I'm surprised that needs to be pointed out.
I'd be more embarrassed if I went from thread to thread, regardless of the topic, screaming about how much I hate the PM while pretending it's only the lefties that froth at the mouth and get triggered so easily.

I've always found it ironic that many Canadians feel they have the need to weigh in on US matters under the guise of how it "affects". Then they turn around and criticize the US for doing the same thing Canadians just did. I call it little brother syndrome. Always trying to one up the other side by talking it down when the other side doesn't really care. Be it politics socioeconomics or the economy etc...
What every country in the world does affects every other country. Maybe not directly but there are always indirect consequences. If you're not happy with how your country fits in the global hierarchy, then become the change in your nation to help elevate it.

Yea,., I'm not sure which direction this is heading off into but I enjoy following US politics, not because I envy them but because of the entertainment factor.

I see your posting on this thread now. Your going to have to explain yourself what was Trumps wacky Covid policy?

Lets face it, we have a national inferiority complex.

Never understood why through 19 years of living in Canada. I will say one of the biggest differences I've seen between Canadians and Americans is Canadians like you said seem to have an inferiority where they're always comparing themselves to the US and saying how much better they are. Americans despite what the media reports are generally proud of their country and just don't care what others think about them.
I see it multiple times on this forum where members make comments about how dumb Americans are because they don't know where such and such a place is or don't think Saskatchewan is a real place etc... or think American's are always putting down Canadians. If anything my experience living both sides of the border has definitely been the other way. Most American's I know love visiting Canada or really wish they could and think the nation is absolutely beautiful. They just don't worry about Canadian politics, socioeconomics, economy etc... Just be proud of who you are and who gives a rip what others think.

Most Canadians listen to and believe our MSM which takes great delight in calling down the USA. Having lived 10 miles from the border I can say that Canadians have much more in common with Americans then the left wing nuts in the golden triangle (Toronto, Montreal, Quebec) have in common with their fellow Canadians.

It's a shame that politicians and parties spend so much time attacking each other instead of actually working together for the people to make life better the way the general elector has voted—lots of promises but in the end nepotism, lining of their pockets and perpetuating lies.

Unfortunately the change you're referring to cannot happen in Canada. Our government is too centralized and will remain so. I envy the US their marvelous old document which protects the people from governmental overreach.

I have looked after rig moving branches in North Dakota, Wyoming, Montana and Texas.
Hate to say it, but I would love to stay south of our border than be in Canada under our current and embarrassing regime of sparkle socks.
