You must mean 15 cents a liter because 0.15 cents is about a tenth of a cent. BEL

Add that to the present elevated price of diesel and we're in for a rough time.

Just think of it as supporting his family vacation to Jamaica. He’s worked hard all year and deserves it (joking).

got to raise funds for his pet projects somehow. Cue everything going up in price once again as it trickles through everything so all the companies can claw the money back from those of us at the purchasing side

^yep, time to stop purchasing.... I've got enough toys and stuff now that will keep me entertained for a year or two.

When enough people have struggled long enough and businesses start to fail, perhaps a united front all across Canada could form? But I'm not holding my breath on that one to happen.

This is great for such things as sleds, quads, new vehicles etc. Unfortunately, we still have to eat! Kids need to be kept busy with hockey, figure skating, skiing etc. Still need fuel to get to work.

More and more taxes stolen from Alberta citizens every year.

If the NDP manages to take over Alberta it will not be good for Albertan's in general. The last time they were in charge, up went the tax on a lot of consumer goods. Unfortunately when the conservatives took charge again, none of those taxes were rolled back.
If the NDP wins the next election they will be 100% behind the feds in sticking it up our Hershey Highway and closing down industry. Lost will be our freedom to enjoy the great outdoors including lakes and mountainous areas.
Keep us broke and indoors and they will be in their glory. Don't vote NDP and don't vote Liberal. They both suck.

An independent Alberta would be so prosperous we could have the wexit people in charge and still fare better than we do under ottawa's thumb.

It's insane there are Albertans who are fine with their children's lifeblood being sucked dry by the vampires in Ottawa. Truly sadistic.

I'm surprised Trudeau's face isn't in there. World Economic Forum? Sounds like a whole band of thieves to me. Mostly Liberal thinkers and woke supporters. I don't think I'll be invited to that forum.

So if its different for each province can Alberta file a law suit based on discrimination?

Think Quebec has a cap and trade deal with California. Somehow they get credit for it so their carbon tax is less. Laughable at best!

If Smith truly has teeth behind her bark I expect to see her challenge this carbon tax. At the minimum there should be a push for equal taxation across the provinces

Premier’s across Canada should be fighting for at the minimum taxation with out favoritism to special provinces

Agreed.

I'd like to see here announce that we won't be charging this tax or collecting it period.
Or stand up and say we are only going to charge and collect the tax that is par with Quebec.
Enough of the heavy handed Ottawa BS.
