Got this off a FB page, It was -41 in the Hat this morning but way colder in Suffield only 40K north, or Etzikom to the s/w.

Temp was around -40c in the car this morning driving to kids hockey.. get home and see one of our basement windows has cracked from the cold weather .

Feels down right tropical here at -40c compared to other places.

- Sightron rifle scopes, 4.5x14x42mm or 4x16x42mm
especially! with the HHR reticle. (no duplex pls.)
- older 6x fixed scopes with fine X or target dot.

Excerpt from CTV news Ottawa. Holy Cow reporting on a low temp reaching minus 20. If we are lucky near metro that will be our high temp. Gibby & Trudy should try to drive his EV out to Alberta to enjoy the Western Canadian Experience. Of course he can use our wind generated charging stations after they lick the metal lamp post.

Ottawa's cold snap has reached the coldest temperatures of the week, with cold temperatures to continue through the weekend.

Environment Canada’s forecast calls for a high of -10 C on Wednesday and a low of -14 C Wednesday night. The temperature dropped to -16.7 C early Wednesday morning, the coldest temperature so far this winter.


The forecast calls for a mix of sun and cloud on Wednesday for a 30 per cent chance of flurries.
