Probably trying to cross over some heaves, always a sketchy situation no matter the conditions...

There was a thread 10 days ago or so, about some heaves on Calling that had opened up and had stretches of open water. With the temps, those spots prolly hadn’t gotten that thick again yet. Hopefully everyone was okay.

The Truck on Friday went through at the Ben Auger Launch on the north end. It was pulled out by the fire truck with its winch.

Driver was sitting on the roof of his truck waiting for help.

No idea where the Thursday break through happened.

Do know that a neighbour drove on at the Provincial Park and drove back home on that access point.

That sucks for sure. Hoping this new weather front sets the tone for the rest of Feb. No more +10 sunny days should help. Fingers crossed.

There is quite a large heave along the east side. Access from the PP is great. 24+ inches of ice.
