Crooked NDP kickback scheme
There is as BC electric truck builder called Edison motors.
Retrofitted old logging trucks to electric and building new ones. It could work because diesel electric and a logging truck goes up hill empty and down hill loaded.
Anyway NDP wants a 20 percent kickbacks to themselves through a shell company for grants. The NDP is so secure in itself being above the laws they just say nothing to see here and refuse a investigation.
I can't provide links but you can google it. Its on utube.
The people in BC just roll over and go along with all this stuff.

Not just some little shell company. MNP , one of the top accounting firms in Canada .. this has that SNC Lavlin stink about it.

Sorry I'm not good at computers and have no ability to post links
But basically they got caught but are above the law. Where are the RCMP riding on horses with their red uniforms. On my Facebook feed I get bombardment of pro RCMP crap that is so annoying .

And WE, and others.
I have been through the government program SR&ED, and had a 3rd party help us with the application.
The difference was that they weren't the ones administering the grants, only applying on our behalf.
This stinks alright...all the way to high Heaven.

I don't think that is quite the story - the story is more that MNP who controls the grants also offered to write the grant applications. So it's MNP that appears to be operating in an apparent conflict of interest. It may not be strictly illegal, but it sure appears shady.
The BC NDP are awful, but this is more a story of the problem with handing everything over to consultants and not maintaining the ability in government to properly administrate programs.

I watched the youtube guy Moose on the loose who had a real good show about this and the Edison owner talking about this kick back. Brutal but not surprised.

Anybody care to guess which political party MNP donates to?

Your missing it
Edison should be able to get the grant without MNP but they said they dont qualify but if they pay MNP twenty percent to apply for same grant then they will qualify and get the grant minus twenty percent that goes to MNP..
Another thing is these electric ,diesel trucks seem to actually work for this application. You would think the hippie dippy NDP would be all behind this company but this just goes to show that they are all about money and power and don't give a crap about you or the environment.

Corruption in government, in my opinion, in Canada is becoming far too common place. In BC, it seems even if you are caught taking funds illegally from government grants in BC nothing ever seems to happen to the offenders.
I believe it was last year, the CEO for BC Housing, Shayne Ramsey quickly decided to retire. The housing corporation he was in charge of at the time was supposed to help poor people with respect to their housing needs. However, allegations came up of a conflict of interest with money going to a government agency in which his wife was in charge. They never could prove anything because meeting minutes were altered or missing, financial documents were missing, and millions of dollars spent without necessary approvals. The penalty to Mr. Ramsey and his wife.....nothing.
So you can see why white collar crime abounds in BC, do the crime, but you don't have to do the time.

Lot of beurocrats make a lot of money off the down and out. Haha I suspect that's partly why government does some of the things it does. Safe injection sites or letting people pitch a tent in the city for free. Haha if I tried to live in a tent on forestry they would kick me out or in a park I would have to pay but in the city its free.
Government wants to help us he safe by driving up the cost of housing so that people can't afford it. Crazy

No I get it, all I was saying was the money doesn't go to the NDP, just MNP.

The people in MNP no doubt either legally through campaign donations or illegally through under the table pay back NDP politicians who have the power to deny the grant applications that are not through MNP.
There is no other reasonable explanation that I can think of and nobody especially RCMP will never really investigate any of this.

I'd suspect demanding 20% for writing the proposal and subsequently approving it wasn't specifically vetoed in the govt/mnp contract. But there should have been more specific direction into what sort of projects the funds could be allocated to.
The accounting company appears to have been skimming 20% off each contract approval on top of the administration they were being paid to run the program. IF this isn't illegal it should be, it appears to be some sort of extortion, is that covered under the criminal code?

Was listening to a Canadian music artist describing the same kind of scheme in play for Federal Arts grants for musicians. An interesting discussion for sure.

Gov't has morphed into Mafia style business on all levels, Municipal,Provincial, and Federal. Gone are the days of genuine "doing what's best for the citizens". Courts, police, media, and any other checks and balances have been infiltrated over the decades to cover up or legalize what is essentially theft of taxpayer money. If you look into pretty well any Gov't program, there will be kickbacks or huge bonuses doled out for little value of services. It's a shame!
