Underwater camera question
Do I want white lights or IR lights. Won't be fishing after dark. I am a little afraid the white lights will spook fish.

Why do you need lights if not fishing after dark?
My experience is with IR lights on a cheap Eyoyo camera. They work out of the water but not in the water since the water has too much stuff in it.
I think IR lights are not visible lights and such they might be legal, unfortunately they're not working for me.

I would agree with the other posters. Lights on an underwater camera don’t do much besides make all the particulate in the water light up, obscuring things even more.

Yeah I run mine with no IR lights on as like mentioned it’s like the asteroid’s game.
They are great pieces of gear to watch how fish act/respond etc

Can you legally use the light in a fish camera , isn't that considering attracting?

It Is Unlawful To: Use lights to sportfish unless the light is attached to a hook or
line used in angling. This includes visible lights that are emitted
by underwater cameras.

Thanks guys, it just seems that every camera has lights.

I never bother with them. The few times I've used them they limited visibility to almost nothing.

^^^ I agree ^^^
It is like trying to drive in a snow storm with your high beam lights on....
