Default Shore fishing

New to Holborn, stony plain area. Looking for info on free lake access for shore or dock fishing. Don't want to pay for access to the water. No boat, just want to take my grandkids fishing and do some fishing myself.

North Sask River is your best bet. Just look for road crossings or other places where you can get down to the river....lots of things to catch! Also, I am a retired dude who is always looking for people to join me on my boat, especially families getting the young ones into fishing....not sure how old your grand kids are, like if they are in school or what not...wab is close to you and always a fun day pulling in wallies...I'm sure we can find a week day at some point to get them out and give em a great day!

If you don't mind driving 1.5 hrs from stony. Take them to Carson lake just past White Court. They have a board walk along one side of the lake with about 8 benches to sit on while fishing . But on weekends bring your self your own chair . The lake is stocked with rainbows ,and everyone is catching fish .
They even rent out small 12 ft aluminum boat with gas engines and even some paddle boats . If its not windy you can watch the eagles all day skimming the water picking up a fish.

East Pit just north of Wab is a decent shore fishing spot as well for trout, and not to far a drive as well.
