And a damn fine game. Probably the most disciplined game of these playoffs?

Canucks are going to have hard times in the western finals

I'm just sitting here laughing, thinking about tonight game. Who would have though, regardless of who Dallas plays, it's going to be their easiest series yet, and it's the Western Final.

Nothing easy about the playoffs!

A lot of banged up bodies.

Western final will come down to goaltending and grit of your non superstars or more or less bottom six players stepping up.

Yes he is out, hope he is ok. Must suck as a young man in peak physical condition to get something like that.
As a bystander from a hockey sense it sucks as I wish Canucks had him and Demko back so we could watch best vs best with Oilers.

You must be a disgruntled Flames fan. No matter who wins game seven, there still will be a series against Dallas. You still have to play the games. If history has shown us anything is nothing is a given. Might as well just give the series to Dallas and not play any games.

I'd be shocked if one of them was able to knock off Dallas.

Disappointing game from the Rangers. Then they starred scoring their own goals, lol. Bobrovsky had a solid game with some wicked saves.

Yup the Rangers seems a little lethargic last night, only really had a couple little bursts of pressure on the panthers and Bob played great. We'll see a different Ranger team tomorrow night.

Oilers / Dallas tonight GO OIL

Rangers had the wind taken out of their sails as they got pounded all over the ice.

Agree, Rangers had some chances but Bobrovsky shut them down. That is what top notch goaltending can do. As much as I would like to see the Oiler's win against Dallas, goaltending and team depth is going to be a factor. You have to call a spade a spade. I hope I am wrong but don't see it happening.

Good to see M.T flourishing in Florida. Just needed a chance. Didn’t like him before but I’m an oilers fan.
Now he’s one of my favourite.
After those wasted years he’s cranking it up and and making a run for the cup….
He was probably wondering if he’d ever get a shot at the cup and great to see that he is. The combination of great talent paired with a supreme antagonist is a rare and desired quality nhl teams look for.
I’m not sure if I’d say Florida or Dallas has the best chance at this point. Both are solid as can be.

Thought I'd inject some numbers so folks can do their own math on the final 4...

Number of Canadian rostered players on each team as of May 10:

Florida 14/36 = 39% (Finnish/Russian Captain)
NYR 7/28 = 25% (American Captain)
Edmonton 24/34 = 71% (Canadian Captain)
Dallas 13/25 = 52% (Canadian captain)

Nationality of Captain of Stanley Cup Winning Team 1924 to 2023:

Canada – 84
USA – 3
Russia – 2
Sweden – 2
Slovakia – 1
UK - 1
