Hope these pictures attach properly--its my first time trying. None from Alberta--The 42" Pike is from Tobin Lake, and the 45" and 47" were from Great Slave Lake. All were released after the pictures. I've been fortunate to have some great luck with Pike over the last couple of years.

Boy's first fish
3 1/2 years old. 2 lb Rainbow this summer on Slocan Lake, BC. A friend gave him an old beat up Kamlooper with rusted hook for something to tie on the end of his little blue and green 4 foot kid's rod with plastic reel and everything. His dad would let it out while we were trolling and he'd reel it in. Wouldn't you know it; wasn't even 5 minutes and he seems to be having more difficulty reeling. And there it was. We dug deep into the archives of our old tackle to find all the Kamloopers we never used, increased trolling speed and hammered them all weekend. After 3 fish his reel was done and rod and reel are now retired.
FYI, same boy aka The Sleeping Boy on Clear Lake.
