Default What to do with a wolverine?

I was looking for some advice on where and what to do with a wolverine. I hit it with my truck. The paper work has gone through and I have my permit for it now. I'm looking for a taxidermist in northern Alberta to either make a rug or full body mount. I'm a little leery of a full body mount. When I visited my brother my dogs freaked out when they saw his full body badger mount. One of them snuk back into the room and climbed a 7 foot high bookcase and pulled it down. We had to drag them off of it while they were tearing into it. A rug done like a bear would be small, but might be nice.

I would think they would also attack the rug...I had a grizzly rug wrecked by a cat ****ing on it, and my wifes dog has ****ed on my wolf rugs............go with the full mount brother........you will be more satisfied. My uncle had a full mount done and it was awesome!!! As for the dogs maybe make a full mount out of them also.

The cat didnt make it!!!!

greylynx, I don't think the hat would get much use.
5 cats and 3 dogs in the house, might be a problem. I think I will go with a rug though. It will be tacked to the wall about 12 feet high so it should be safe. They will be less likely to get at it than anywhere I could put a full mount.

Highly recommend Greg Robertson at Robertson Taxidermy in Yellowknife. Greg handles a fair amount of Wolverine and will do ya pround. He knows how they should look.

A full mount looks really cool, here's what we did with our road kill wolverine.

an old friend who has since passed away trapped a wolverine on his trapline north of the Brazeau river one time. he got a full body mount of it with a mink in its mouth. It was a very cool mount, but every time he went to work for extended periods of time his wife would make him put it behind the couch cause she would get scared looking at the darn thing

Thumbs up Rug

They look really nice on the wall, or on the floor so everyone can have a feel of thir unique fur. Awsome animals, wish there were more to catch on my line.
