Default Mauser problem

I’m not sure what I did, but here is what I was doing when it happened – I was trying to fit an aftermarket stock to a mauser 98, I had the barrelled action out of the existing stock and I was using it to try the fit as I was making changes. Specifically, I was relieving the area around the side safety, and now it seems like the firing mechanism has been tripped, but the bolt won’t open. Any ideas on what I may have done and what I need to do to get the bolt to function again?

Is there pressure on the safety mechanism? If the safety is on the bolt won't open

Sounds like you have some areas of the stock that are bearing on the trigger/sear .
