Default Lily Lake

I hiked into Lily Lake on Sunday. The road was still closed from highway 88 so it made for a 9 km hike in. Mostly all up hill.

I was only going for a hike but I did bring my rod and a blue J5 Rapala.

I managed to get hooked onto a brookie but I lost it at the boat.

All in all 4 hours of hiking for 1 hour of fishing!!

Sure felt good to wet a line!

yeah I figured it was about 1.5 pounds...nothing huge, but fun until it shook me off.

That was my first time fishing the lake.... do you know how deep it is at its deepest??

Never caught anything in that lake but i have hiked into it a dozen times at least, I was the first one in there for the season 3 or 4 years ago, actually had to chop a hole on the ice to wet a line.

Gate was open so i took the truck as far as it would go and hiked the rest.

Met up with the guy manning the fire lookout and bs'd with him for a while.

There are some big whiteys up in the top section of the interpretive area, I have a decent shed I found there while hiking.

I wish i could go back and fish it again, its a nice spot to spend an afternoon.
