Default great falls fishing

Im not looking for honey holes just wondering where there are some nice ponds around the Great Falls Montana area. The wife and I are heading down there for the long weekend. If anyone can point me in the right direction. Somewhere you can rent a boat or fish from shore. Bass would be nice but trout will do. Thanks and have a good long weekend with tight line

I was down there last year with work. I didnt do any fishing cause i was only there for a few days. But there is a local fishing/sporting goods store in town where i bought quite a few flies from and the owner is very knowledgable and i am certain he can point you in the right direction. Sorry i cant remember the name of the store, but im sure a quick google search could fix that.

Nyland Res., Missouri River below Black Eagle dam, Holter Res, Sun River west of the city, Wolf Creek, Belt Creek

Holter Dam is a good place for rainbows, the fish like velveta cheese on a cheese hook. There is a nice campsite up there.

There are others but it has been a long time since I soaked fishing lines there.
