Default Minnows in Calgary

Hey guys. I need to find minnows around Calgary and am having a hell of a time. Been to BPS, Wholesale, and a couple Canadian Tires. All they have is smelts. I want to find the small silvery minnows. Anyone know where to get the little buggers?? any info is much appreciated.

Your probably having a hard time finding them, because, your not allowed to use bait fish in most of Alberta lakes.

Ya, try the Fishin Hole. They usually have lots. Get some Parker's Minnows if you can. They are the best.

I always buy my minnows at the Fishin' Hole. I've never seen them not have them.

You can use minnows practically everywhere, where the heck can't you around Calgary?? And this is why I stock up during winter and put them in my freezer. There is a shortage out there for some reason, none in SK either in small towns. Who knows why.

PS: I have 10 tubs in my freezer, if anyone really needs some, PM me with your price LOL.

Yes, minnows are bait fish. Make sure you read the regulations closely, and don't be afraid to ask questions They can be very confusing at times.

The minnows that the guys are looking for are frozen: not live. They can be used in some waters, but not all.
