Default Slave Lake Spruce Point

Hi everyone,

I'm heading up to Spruce Point on Slave in Mid August and am wondering if anyone has any tips on fishing location/depths for that time of year (walleye). I have fished Slave a little bit in the winter but generally spend more time at Utikuma if I head up that way. Any advice would be greatly appreciated and feel free to P.M. me if you wish. Ill be fishing out of a 16'5 ft Lund Adventure Fisherman, so I'm not against going for a little run to find the 'eyes.

Thanks guys,

Highwood

From spruce point you can usually see where everyone is fishing north east of the marina. There is a shelf there that drops off from 15feet to about 30 feet. That spot is usually productive.
Just Follow the line of boats out!!!!!!!

Jighead & Minnow just of the bottom if not trolling
Walleye diver trolling seems to be catching larger fish for me
Small jig head & piece of minnow or mealworm dropped in the weed beds for jumbo perch
Spoons & weedless spoons cast towards shallow weed beds cathing big pike.(Johnson silver minnow)
Hope this helps have fun.
