Default 200 years of stats... revealing

A very interesting presentation on stats, countries growth, health and longevity.

This guy actually makes statistics interesting.

Glad I was born in a "yellow" country. Blind luck and chance, but....

And did you notice something else? Some countries with much lower incomes have almost caught up with the front-runners health-wise. Why?

1) low cost vaccines have cut the mortality rate even in poorer countries.

2) our richness and industrialization is starting to bring on health problems... obesity, cancers, etc. We are starting to hit a wall.

Something has to kill us, we are not dying of the old traditional diseases, accidents and illnesses as much anymore, at least not as soon. Richness and industrialization is not bringing on health problems, I think it's the opposite, it is allowing us to live long enough that we die from non traditional causes of death.
