SAWT finalized dates and locations
I was asked to post the dates of the SAWT tourneys for the coming season now that they have been approved and the CFE's are in place.
SAWT 2011 Tournaments:
#1 Chin Reservoir - May 14/15 CFE#517
#2 Alberta Marine Walleye Classic - Travers - May 28/29 CFE#518
#3 Milk River Ridge - June 11/12 CFE#519
#4 St. Mary's Reservoir - June 25/26 CFE#520
If anyone needs any other information just head over to www.gowalleye.com and click on the SAWT link. There is also a number of SAWT members on this forum that could possibly answer some of the questions.

Hopefully the catch rates are up on this years trail and we can get a bunch of teams in the mix of things and make for another interesting finish to the season.

Nah I have never fished any of the NAWT events so I don't usually hear anything about it except different teams that win at the events. I am not to sure but I think most of the trails in western canada are posted on the gowalleye website so you may be able to find out more info there. There is also a few guys I think on this forum that fish the northern trail and could possibly give you more info.

Ya I was alright with the fishing also. There wasn't a ton of fish caught but You finished high in the standings as did me and bob. I have just heard that alot of people complained about how few legals were weighed in at most places and I don't want to see the numbers of teams drop off.

Very true gramps,
I would like to see the trail get up to a full field for all 4 stops. How sweet would it be to have 80 boats or so at each stop with a waiting list of people who are willing to take a canceled spot in a heart beat.
I don't think this will ever happen but it would be some serious payouts for every tourney.
Last years last stop at st.mary was wild with how few boats there were compared to travers. I think alot of people who have never been on st.mary decided to just not enter instead of fishing it a few times and figuring out a pattern. We though we had some good spots to fish but didn't manage a legal the whole weekend. In the mean time watching you and your partner land that monster within a heavy jig casting distance away.

Partner? EHarmoney for Angling
I am thinking I might fish in a couple or all of these .....I could go in
with the luckiest fisherperson I know , my wife or find a partner
who has a trailer or camper ...I have as good a walleye boat as you can buy , someone who 's personal hygiene is somewhat reasonable , reasonable embiber , and someone who is open to suggestion ( no they are not going on Len Thompson #00 R& W ))
I just mentioned this to my wife and she wished me luck , cause if I boss someone else around like I do her , good luck...
So thats it , I am looking for a partner who bosses his wife around ,
that should narrow the field ....do you think Mohmar Gaddafi or Bin Laden
are into walleye fishing ....oh and so much for the personal hygiene...
Just ab thought

With all the other dates and fishing between Sask and up north i think it will be hard to do but if any one can change things around for the SAWT it is Brian, good fisherman and better guy..
If all three groups could get together and work together I think that there could be a full field for all four.

You are sure right about Brian. One of the nicest most top notch guys I have ever met.
As for the trail. I just don't think we can ever fill 4 tourneys. It seems like every year the 1st couple are full or close to it and after that it dies off. I think this has to do with which lakes are being fished and also the farther into the summer the more people head away for holidays. Would be nice to fill all 4 though. I can't wait for open water season to get here. So many plans and so little time and money haha.
