Nice browns
I sometimes use rapalas. I often wonder why I get browns mainly then the next trip rainbows? I geuss it is just which species is "on". Had a nice guy tell me he used articulated rapalas in the rainbow colours. The larger size (forget #) and the first time I used it got a pike! Had another slough shark chase it to the shore and wet my boots!
I love to get them on the fly but this time of the year gear chucking can be really productive. Many would say get a big streamer. C'est la vie.

I used many different streamers but with no luck. for now im going to stick with rapalas and spinners, because they are producing fish at this time

How late did you catch those? I had hooked up four times...but nothing landed. They were surfacing all over the place when I showed up..

I'd be a little careful saying that you "figured it out." The Bow is as tempermental a mistress as you'll ever find. Go one day in one spot at one time and it's on. Go the next day to the same spot under the same conditions and you'll go home empty handed. You've got to be versatile and be ready to change things up. It's one of the reasons the Bow is so much fun.
Nice browns.
Cheers.

finally figured out the bow
Those fish are beautiful! Here comes a stupid question, because I should have a set of regs, but is the Bow open at Cochrane and is the fishing good there at this time of year? Thanks for the help. Congrats on those gorgeous browns, I've never caught one.

i was literally in that spot for about a half an hour when i caught those two. after the two i moved quite a bit down stream and had luck down there too. overall i was there from 5 to 630.

Agreed. I thought the same thing when i read the title of your post. Here i thought you had some ground breaking "sure to catch tactics for everyday on the bow" to share!! Remember to stay humble. The Bow is a mighty big and at times unforgiving river, and you're bound to have many days ahead that she doesn't treat you quite so kindly. Never give in. Keep challenging yourself and try different tactics and methods. Break out the fly rod when you're ready and you'll add a whole new element to your fishing experience. Great Fish and thanks for posting the pics. Keep it up!!
Dace.

iv been skunked about 4 times about the 100 or soo times iv fished it. if your spots not producing keep walking its the best tatic on the for me.
iv fished streches of the river that i caught over 30 browns and fished it a week later with no results. i tried changing up lures sizes and colors with veraity of reterves but nothing.

Not sure what you mean, but holding a fish up by the tail is the worst possible thing you can do for the fish.

you seroiusly havent herd of tailing trout? thats how most big trout and steelies are landed. not by net. you grab him by the tail support his belly and lift. its wayy better then fraying his fins in the net and gilling him.

thats a highly debated subject.
ive seen guys do such a poor job trying to tail fish, the fish is near dead from exhaustion before they get a grip on them.
