Default 30-06 150grTTSX with 56gr of H4350?

After trying to convince myself I do not need to nor it's cheaper to reload I ended up buying everything I need and reloaded 10 rounds of 30-06 using TTSX 150gr and 56gr of H4350.
I resized the brass with the full resizing die and set the bullet at the recomended TSX c.o.l.
The only thing not by the book is the amount of powder for this specific type of bullet which is not being published anywhere.
In my opinion 56 gr of H4350 with a 150gr TTSX should be a safe start...but before I pull the trigger I better ask for opinions.
Thanks.

Just my opinion, but 56.0 grains of H4350 is a little bit heavy to start with, especially considering the longer bearing surface of copper bullets over the same weight of a regular lead cored bullet. I'm sure you'll be fine, but it's a bit high to start in my opinion.

The bearing surface area is not actually increased, compared to most lead core bullets, due to the grooves cut into the shank of the TTSX. However, the TTSX is quite hard, and it produces more pressure than most cup and core bullets, so start out with the recommended minimum load for a 150gr bullet. Forget any COL that is listed in any loading manual, because throats vary from gun to gun. Seat the TTSX .050" off of the lands in your rifle, as recommended by Barnes, and you are good to go.

Just tried cross referencing the barnes manual to the Hodgdon data.

Hodgdon show info or a 150 Nosler bullet with 56 - 62grs of h4350.

It also shows 54 - 60grs of h414 where the Barnes shows 55 - 60grs.

As well as 47 - 51grs of Varget where the Barnes shows 49.5 - 52.5grs.

Also 49 - 54grs of BL-C(2) where the Barnes shows 49.5 - 53.5grs.

So I think you should be good to go.

Regardless of powder charge, that combo at 2950 is unbeatable in the 30-06. I have yet to see one that won't shoot it with aplomb.
