And what would you want to use an item like this for?

Is this a police fishing expedition?

I believed they are considered a "prohibited projectile". Same as other shotgun rounds like fletchettes and many others that do not contain "traditional" shot for hunting, skeet or target shooting.
Have to go to the good ol' U.S. of A to pick some up and shoot them there. But only in certain areas. I think there are a few states that have banned them as well.

Well for all intensive purposes they could be considered an incendiary round so they would be illegal.

Wow some pretty wicked rounds in that video. Can you imagine shooting a coyote with one of those Bolo rounds.

So you want to shoot phosphourous filled shot at something to create massive third degree burns?

Just for recreation?

I am sorry that I did not understand you.

I tried to buy non lethal 12 gauge rounds from that place and they told me they wouldn't sell to the general public, Have they since changed their policy?

Basically, like whats in the video. I want to see what these things do. Being safe, and putting out the fires of course.

Do think these shells arent allowed being fired do to the fire ban?

Not necessarily, because it is over 15mm in diameter.

Only incendiary rounds under 15mm are prohibited IIRC.

Don't take my word for it, check with authorities!!!

There is a company in California that makes these commercially as well as many other types ie. Bolo, flechette, flashbang etc. As noted by other members above these "Dragons Breath" rounds are illegal and they are a might more of a fire hazard than a tracer round. This is Canada people, if its fun or looks cool - you cant have it!

From my readings, these type of phosphorous shells were used in desperate circumstances by tanks and howitzers. Ouch.

The Blammo Ammo company used to make them before they became politically incorrect.

Shotgun Sports News used to advertise them regularly.

There's absolutely no value to the round from a practical standpoint. We can all agree on that.

I think they would be very practical to use as crowd control at Lady Gaga concerts!

No, anybody firing one into a crowd would be charged and would also probably be heavily sued.

Fin-stabilised and beanbag rounds are very effective "direct-fire" crowd control weapons.

We saw that with the Iraqi looters.
