Ya it depends on the number of tags they draw but typically it's been 6....some years less but last year was 7 because the last application drawn had two applicants. There are 103 people left with top priority so at 6 tags a year, the maximum wait would be 18 years. Each year a percentage of people drop out for whatever reason, so 10-12 years is more likely but with my luck, I'll be the guy drawn on year 18....lol

408 draw procedure?

so... a new person starting out entering this year, builds up points for ten years and then gets drawn from a pool of people of unknown(at this time) size?
I'm not schooled in the fine art of draw procedure, what does this mean to me if my next sheep draw goal is 408?

Good chance I will get Ant moose for home here. I would love to shoot one withthe bow and if that doesn't work, hit the rut with the ML. Last year my wife turned down 17 bulls in search of a good one but she was pickier longer than the season was. I also tried for non-tro sheep and 999 everything else. I could get camp Wainmwright if I wanted and Antelope but they all got 999. Plus My Dad and brother should get there bull elk tags here, lots of meat to go around. And if no one is successful, there is beef in the corral getting fat

She'd be a cold day in hell before I'd want to put cash up against these two. Stinky and Potty, I get all 'tingley' inside when you say stuff like that.
With some pretty significant changes in my personal life coming up here in September (good ones), I'm a 999 across the board. However, my hunting partner is a P10 on elk and going to pull the tag on an eastern zone. I'm probably going to be there running a camera if everything works out.
Good luck guys 'n gals. May '11 be your best season to date.

This year will most likely see me with my moose tag (get a cow just about every year) and general tag elk. A few deer and a trip to the mountain will round out the season. It's funny how much more a planned and thought out hunt costs as opposed to one off the cuff,...lol

I think the only draw I will be getting this year will be Camp W muzzy hunt. Im hoping my Dad gets his bull moose tag in 346. He's never shot a moose and it would be really awesome to see him tag up on his first bull in the calling season.
Other than that im hoping some luck floats my way and I get one the few unlikely odds draws!
Good luck to everyone in there drawsthis year, I know some of us that plan these draws a few years in advance so good luck to everyone!

Rich and I were talking today and he said we might have to push you up there in your wheel chair by the time you get drawn in 408.

Other than the usual stuff I applied for the Bison hunt AGAIN!
Nothing would make my season better than getting drawn for Bison. Got the 45/70 tuned in with a hefty load and REALLY want to get a chance to use this great old cartridge on a great old game animal. Got my fingers crossed

11 draws for me, NT sheep is my hope this year, some building points, a few long odds draws, and 999 my T antelope(that hurts , )i was really looking forward to that this year , but i will wait another or two and see what happens !
My daughter also insisted that i put her in for the 438 sheep, she laughed and said it would be really funny if she got it before me !!! I didn't laugh! but she really does want a sheep , so at least i have a new partner ! She's also praying for a bull moose!
Good luck to all !

I know, I know, Pottys mule aint got enough Steve. I think your boy might be fallin shy of par in this golf game Potty!
Not sure about a handicap Steve, you start giving inches to some of these guys and there will be some pretty big numbers getting tossed around here come December after the smoke settles!

Great pics WTJ,
That one buck titled "Gary7" I think is the same buck I talked to your Dad about several years ago and watched during bow season. I was 18 yards from him with permission on a 'scouting' trip and had left my bow at home as it was a short trip...haha.
I had chatted with him about him and heard that he had got him knocked over that year. Great buck no doubt!!!

But I will get in on this wager, easy to take my cash . I won't be holding out for a slammer, looking for another P&Y to make it back to back book bucks for me.
