Horseshoe was firmly planted in the right spot for the Oilers tonight. Gift PP for Dri to score, haha Muzzin didn't touch the Oil players haha.
Oh well take it when you get it. Slowed the Leafs down for us Flames I guess, good job Oilers.

Don't feed the troll. To this point everyone has just ignored his comments and acted as if they are not part of the thread. I am hoping he will get bored and just go away.

They need to come out like they did in the 1st. A bit of run and gun and create some chances. 2nd period was very safe hockey.

With that loss I now have a Leaf logo as my Facebook profile picture for three days. I feel cheap and dirty.

I know it was a loss, but it was not a terrible game. Really a 3-2 final as I don't count empty netters as a factor to a game... it is just a result.
Things I liked
I like Neal better than Chaisson.
I think Draisaitl line had their best night and Yamo was really good.
I liked Puljujarvi on the McDavid line and I hope they give that a better look.
Kassian could easily move to the 4th line and archibald move to the 3rd line
Koskinen was exactly where we need him to win. 2 goals were on re-directions and should have went in. As long as he can stop the ones that should not go in, we are fine.
For the majority of the game the oilers won the board battles. There was a couple defensive break downs but those will happen in any game with any team.
If they bring that same effort and consistency on a regular basis, they are going to have success.
I like the post game interviews as there was a consensus that there was a lot of good things in the game.
Big difference was Toronto capitalized on the PP.

Also, I hope that Tippett now recognizes Brody plays McDavid really well. Hopefully uses that info in a home game situation to avoid that match up.

Poor JP looked sad that wasn’t his goal. Good effort by him though. Little pieces of confidence every game for that young man. Like to see it.

Great start to the second.
Yamamoto as the guy screening in front of the net on the PP? The poor bugger was getting thrown around pretty good. Maybe Neal and Kassian aren’t big enough for the job.
