I figure you're confused. The bet Bessie is talking about pre-dates virus. Anyway. I'd send Bessie a bottle just because I like him, I don't Welch. My memory just isn't so good....

So the goal that plug Neal scored on his own net tonight counts towards his 21 right? He needs all the help he can get, reaching 21.

HAHA yeah guessing that will go to arbitrager?? If season is a wrap, and looking like it will be since all morning skates cancelled.
Things like draft next season, or if they take a 30 day break do they go playoffs right away with current standings. I's thinking Betman isn't sleeping well right now.

I may not be taking this seriously enough, but I'd be disappointed if they wrapped up the season and hockey is done for the year.

I'm in a couple of pools. Both decided that a complete season has to be played. When people joined the pool, everyone assumed an 82 game season, not a 70 game season or whatever else may happen. There was 100% agreement on this, even the current leaders.

Money will be refunded if a full season is not played.

Lots of barbs getting traded by pool members. Saucy Oilers' fans vs Flames' fans with a decade's worth of ammo. The rest of us get to sit back and watch the fun.

I did at the time too, but I sure wish Treliving had taken the advise of some on this board and traded Brodie and Hamonic right about now. Would have been one of his better moves in his career. With no hockey right now, Hamonic and Valimaki will certainly be back when it resumes, and we just signed Mackey and Poolman. Oh Brad, why didn't you listen...

However, that's part of the reason I suspect the season will be played out though, the trades. Anaheim trading Djoos to Washington for Sprong probably isn't a deal breaker, but what about Tampa, Carolina, New York, Pittsburgh, Arizona, Vegas, Edmonton, Boston, etc. who gave out 1st and 2nd round picks, in some cases, multiple picks, for a playoff run and instead got 8 regular season games out of the player coming back. In no way shape or form do I see Tampa just walking away from two 1st round picks and I don't see the Sharks or Devils wanting to give them back. It's almost a certainly that the league will resume this season, it's just a matter of when. I'm going with early May.

I’d love for sportsnet to run some BOA playoff games.

How about a 7 game series, 7th game going to 18 periods of overtime and the parade does 50 laps of downtown Calgary... now thats hockey!

Not trading Hamonic is gonna look real bad now but no way Treliving could have predicted what was about to happen. Thinking a lot of teams are gonna be in the same boat with regrets.

Those 2 signings are not gonna help the Flames much other than filling roster spots due to possibly losing guys as UFA next year. Most collegiate players have a hard time landing spots on an NHL roster. Thinking Treliving is looking forward to next year and wanting to have a few Dmen to chose from.

As for Hockey returning this year I sure hope it comes back too but the reality is it’s out of the hands of the NHL. The return is gonna come down to govt’s restrictions and the NHL has no swing on that.

Keep thinking what would happen if they start back up and then 2 weeks in a player tests positive for the virus. Then what ??? Would the whole team have to go into quarantine?

I had to pour some 10W30 on my garage floor so I could with the Oil do nothing.

It was Full Synthetic. Nothing real about it either.

This could be a really bad year for the Canadian teams, they are used to not playing hockey in April, but now there is a good chance that they won't be on the golf course either.

^^^^^^^
There's been some pretty good banter between the Flames' and Oilers' fans in my pools, such as...

The virus is providing the Flames with their only chance to playing hockey in June.
