Pinehurst
Does anyone have any info regarding ice thickness and whether or not trucks are driving on yet. Any feedback would be helpful.

Chain Lakes
Taking my father out, he's 88 and can't walk that far especially in snow or ice, was wondering if anyone has been out in the last week and what the ice thickness is? Thanks

I would imagine by this time of year lakes in the Athabasca/slave area like baptiste, fawcett, utikima, slave are all generally drivable if you mind the springs? Thinking of venturing out that way.

Anyone down south see any open water with this last big Chinook we are getting?
I kind of doubt it,but if it keeps up I'm abit nervous about venturing on my 1 mile walk across the lake this weekend.....

that gorgeous black ice is becoming white ice. I'd recommend not going on payne lake until after next weeks cold snap. the ice on other lakes isn't terribly noisy either and some of the tougher pressure ridges near shore are collapsing. stay shallow and bring a towel. still a good foot of ice but it's drilling like spring ice.

Was on the south end of Mcgregor on Tuesday... about an inch of water on top of about 18 inches of ice by 3 pm. We decided to call it a day at 4 with soaked feet and only tiny pike and perch on the cameras. Wont be back on the ice for a week due to work. Hope things re-freeze by then...

North Side lac la biche
Was there today 18" of clear black ice. Lots of overflow and about 6" of snow. Fishing was slow. Had a nice chat with Fish and wildlife. South side of the lake had a biologist doing a survey of people's catch. Bad day of fishing is better than a good day at work.

Was on Beaver Mines Lake Saturday...a little windy but beautiful day...ice was good and still around 12 inches...fishing was so so, caught a couple of keepers, lost a big boy and put four back (fished from 9 to 1:30)

15"-18" at north end of McGregor, very slippery.
15" at north end of Badger. I was by the shacks on Badger. Word of caution the ice right around the eastern most shack has tons of trapped gas.
I followed tracks and seen a 1 ton parked at the shack 50 yards east of the eastern most shack.
I got out and took a wiz and nearly shat myself when I seen the ice. lol.

Coming down from calgary. Has anyone been on Travers reservoir? I'm interested in ice conditions at the east end near the spillway. With the warm weather we will be walking on the ice.

Yesterday was between 13 and 15" in the NE arm by the canal that runs between McGreagor and Travers. Supposed to be warm and windy the next few days so ice cleats would be a good thing.

Trucks have been on Pinehurst since December, over 2' of ice. Lots of snow in recent weeks with warm weather and rain, so some surface water under the snow. Pressure ridge running along the entire south shore about 100 yards out.

Anyone been on Lac St. Anne recently?
I would love to get out for the family day weekend but I am worried about quality of ice with how many vehicles will be going out.

Any ice reports from Wabamun? Is it still thick enough to drive on?

Has anyone been down to Beauvais, Payne, Lee's or Beaver Mines lately? I'm planning to be down in the Pincher Creek area this weekend and was wondering if there is still plenty of ice to walk on.

Lake Ice

So basically still lots of good ice but maybe not for driving on with trucks in this area of the province, quads or sleds if you choose should be ok as long as the ice is not honeycombed.

Chain Lake Ice
Anyone been on Chain in the last day or so?
I've be trolling all over the forum trying to get a specific update for Chain but nothing recent.
Hoping to take the little guy out, but having the truck on the ice would be a huge help in him remaining happy for a few hours.
Thanks in advance.

Also looking for a Lac St Anne update. Can you get on and off at boat launches due to the warm weather? I would think the ice is more fragile there right now?
