Seen that goal coming, we're a hot mess right now. Someone forget to tell the team when the game time was? Brutal so far.

Canucks are struggling right now. That is what happens to a struggling team. Normally they'd sent the Flames packing by now....not that they had too as the Flames never showed up in the first half.

I don't think they showed up for the first two periods. That last pp was kinda weak as well.

Shots 43-16 for Canucks. Score may be tied at 1, but really?? Wow. Not impressed tonight.

And Meyers scores for Canucks on shot #44.

2-1 now.

Flames sure don't deserve a win. Less then 5 minutes to redeem themselves. But Canucks working hard to break a 6 game losing streak.

When the slump busters realize their best offensive player is mangiapane and put the proper players with him. They may get 20 shots.

Them late games are tough when up North at work, but sounds like a good thing I fell asleep for the third. That was hard to watch, this team can be so Hot and Cold?
They better figure it out and PDQ. I hope a bag skate is in order for first thing this AM.

Thank god the Oilers were our slump buster or we could be in a real slide. LOL Nothing wrong with Mangiapane, the guy is typically the hardest worker on the ice every night. You wish you had that effort in your lineup.

I was actually being honest. After that game, I was feeling sorry for you all. Just a little helpful advise.
If the flames get anymore of that depth, they’ll be at the bottom very soon.

Wow....Hockey Day in Canada was amazing for Oiler's hockey.

The next Flames game is going to be important for the standings but more so for the team. If the Flames slip back to .500 and drop below Vancouver in the standings, there may be more than just a Bennett trade.

Agreed, and if we can't figure out how to score more than 1 goal on a regular basis, the trades should happen anyways. Said it last couple seasons and saying it again. Lack on goals most games, and lack on shots. Specially quality scoring chance ones.
Hope they can clear the stink out of the arena, in time for next game.

I am surprise no one is kicking tires on Hall right now. Buffalo is last in their division ( probably the toughest division) and Hall is on a 1 year deal. Can't see him sticking around if there is no success in Buffalo this year. I know there the cross border issue but I am not even hearing anything from any American teams.

Monahan is on pace for 8 goals this season and has never lite it up in the playoffs. I also think he is in more need of a change that Bennett and Johnny.

Calgary sends Monahan, Bennett and a young d-man to Buffalo for Hall and Ristolainen. Shots on goal will definitely increase with Hall.

I will say Bennett's trade value has gone up slightly over the last couple games.

Hall is on pace for 5 goals.

Poor Buffalo though, have Jeff Skinner signed for six more years at $9M per. He has one assists so far this year. Easily one of the worst contract in the NHL.

I actually think the Flames coach is safe.

Either it will be the GM getting fired or a block buster trade (more than Bennett).

Or it could be both.

I’ve seen this kinda show from your flamers before.

Your boys are trending exactly the way Gio is trending.... age, circumstance, and ‘Johnny monny spoiled’ don’t help.

We’re shooting straight up buddy.
3-0 Montreal
We’ll go another 3-1 against Winterpeg and you clowns (we’ll lose Sat night just cause... fluke....

I have a nose for these things ya know

The Sabres are a .500 hockey club to Date in arguably the toughest division. I would hardly say they are a horrible club. 6th in league on PP and 10th on PK. Probably more a middle of the pack kinda club. That when they figure it out look out.

They have only played 10 games due to Covid protocol and Hall Has put up 9 pts in 10 games hardly a slouch at near a point per game on a new club while trying to learn new systems during a really messed up start to the season.

Sabres have had troubles putting the puck in the net for sure and Hall was supposed to help that. Hasn’t yet but I wouldn’t bet against him. If Flames had the chance to scoop him up they would be crazy not too.

It would sting shipping out your 2 highest draft picks in the last 10 years. But I don't believe Johnny is going to re-sign in Calgary and Buffalo gets Mohanan closer to home. Hall has been linked to his home town every time he comes available on the market. He is 29 years, 2 years remove rom Hart, and had almost a point a game last season between NJ and Arizona.

Hall, Lindholm, and Dube would be a blazing fast line. I don't think Thachuk is fast enough to play with those guys. I think he would be better suited with Backlund, and Leivo or Mangiapane even if a trade doesn't happen. Or throw Johnny up with Lindholm and Dube. Lindholm is a better trigger guy than Monahan, and Johnny is the Flames best passer.

Yep I think the time is coming for the GM to be moved out. If the players don’t show up and sort this thing out then the GM is gonna feel the pressure. He’s had his opportunity to pick his coaches and the Playoff results have hurt.

Really too bad Peters had to go. I really think he had them headed in the right direction. Can’t lay that one on the GM.

Don’t see it happening in season though but the writing is on the wall for a big trade. As long as he doesn’t pull a Chia and sewer the club in a panic to save his job.

Of course that is all dependent on the Flames performance this year. Lots of season left and by no means are they out of contention for a playoff spot.
