Teaching my grandson to fish a couple of years ago.
This year he taught me a thing or two.
But I did catch a few.
And I was not alone.
When the fish wouldn't bite, I would take the dog and explore the shoreline.
One day some explorers stopped at my fishing hole. They had some string and a couple of large hooks, but nothing that would work without bait, and they had no bait. So I gave them several hooks and some bait.
Soon the had enough fish for a great supper and a few meals besides.
That's not their truck, it's WAS mine, until a met a Deer. Bad Deer!
A bunch of the locals joined us for supper that night.
They were traveling the river in a York boat. A massive craft, and hand powered. Outboards are a great invention. LOL
More friends made. The captain, is also an author. She has a book called " Love Your Skeletons." Incredible lady and she has a fine husband.
Nether had ever met us before and still he fixed my computer, for free. And it only took a few minutes! Wow! I wish I could do that!
Not the best boat launch, as my neighbor found out. While we were watching the York boat disappear in the distance my neighbor showed up to go fishing. Would you believe a two wheal drive Toyota can pull a four wheal drive Ford out of soft sand ? I didn't but it did.
I wish I had more photos to share. But most of my life I couldn't afford a camera. I've only had this camera for a couple of years. And I'm still learning how to take pictures. I'm learning what people want to see, how to shoot a caught fish or a shot Deer.
So these are the only photos I have that were worth sharing.
In my opinion. Give me a few years and I might have a few more. LOL
But I'm afraid my best years are behind me, and all I have from those years are the memories. The few photos I did have I lost in the divorce.
And have never keep trophy's and can't afford taxidermy.
