New streak started W1 and counting
Actually they looked sloppy and slow to start last night, passing was off and the Ducks were all over them for the first 2 periods. Finally got things moving in the 3rd, Pickard did a good job of holding them close early, the line of Kane, Dria, and Perry looked good. On to LA tonight

Oilers got it handed to them badly by a younger, faster and more motivated team.
The break was not the oilers friend.

We'll take the 2 points but for a while there they looked like they were slipping back into bad habits, but they turned it on in the 3rd

As I said last game looks like the Oilers from November are back, way to many penalties, sloppy passes and loose defense, they got some work to do if they have playoff aspirations

Both Alberta teams were hugely cringe worthy yesterday.

Big big jump over Ceci.
I’d do it if the deal is right for both teams.
Young prospect for Flames. Shore up defensive end for Oilers.

When you have McDavid and Draisaitl as the main pieces and Nuge, Hyman, Kane, Bouchard, Ekholm, as accessory pieces, I really don't understand Holland's reluctance to trade 1st for an attempted "all in" scenario. Going back to McDavid's draft year, 2015, the Oiler's 1st round picks, with the exception of Bouchard, either didn't work out, Puljujarvi and Yamamoto, and they aren't with the team anymore, or are still under development (Schaefer, Bourgault, Holloway, and Broberg) with a total of zero currently playing for the team. So, going back to 2015, one 1st round pick is on the team. Why not trade the 1st and go all in, building a team for 2026?

Love the way Brown works. we got enough scoring power and not enough grinders,, would get rid of Bouchard in a moment,, he is not a defensvie man he is a third forward, voice goes bad screaming at TV, I could score a goal if I played with Mcjesus.

Another good win yesterday, they looked a little sloppy in the 2nd but got their poop in a group in the 3rd, back home for the Bruins, need to keep things rolling

WOW real playoff hockey, tight checking, only 78 combined shots on net and 11 goals scored PP pathetic and PK worse not going anywhere playing like that, after watching their 16 game win streak and looking at the numbers and watching them now and looking at the numbers you would think this is a whole different team, what the WTH happened during the all star break. geezz louise

when the streak started the Oilers were in about 28th place so most near every team was above them in the standings, not that it matters, the way they are playing they are trying to get back to where they started
Consistency and structure is what they need to get back to again, during the winning streak they never panicked or ran around like loose cannons, last night was pathetic, the PK is a shambles and the PP has gone cold

Exactly. A complete rejuvenation of team effort. Solid win and effort.

Nice W, we needed that one because had the Kings won that one it would have bumped us from 3rd in the Pacific down to a wildcard spot. LA are right on our heals and they are no slouch of a team. It’s always a good battle when the Oilers play them.
