I would rather invest $100,000 and get $10,000 in return than $200,000 and get $11,000 in return.

Sounds like you have children. Yes, school is a place where young minds are played with by teachers and principals that often go beyond the curriculum to push their own agendas. It of course should not be, but was happening when I was in school and not much has changed. I have seen this with mine. As well, the views of the other kids can sure give you an idea of what they are being taught at home by their parents. You get an idea about what other parents believe. As parents, we must always be involved and on our toes unless we want others, teachers and peers, to raise our kids for us.

My wife is a teacher and I can confidently say you are one of the few parents that want to raise your own kid. It is too easy nowadays to rely on someone else to raise your child.

Sometimes I wonder about forced sterilization. But that would be similar to socialism! haha

Thanks for the compliment, but that is very sad to hear. Those parents should just get a pet and call it good. Some of my son's teachers have been good, but they were the minority in terms of what I was talking about. The principal change at his school had a huge impact. So far in his school it hasn't been politics, but it is clear that other parents have a dislike for the U.S.. I just wish that teachers would at least present all sides rather than their own. I would like to know how much control the principal has over the teachers. Alot it seems. But yes, parents must be prepared and involved whether it's politics or anything else.

Obama is the first American president to be:
No caucasian.
Unknown religion.
Born outside of the mainland.
And to stop projects for importing Canadian oil to the States.

I think he will be the last to do that.
BTW... H. Clinton would do better....

BO is one half caucasion.

BO was schooled in Indonesia under the muslim faith, He attends a very left wing church in the U.S.

You do bring up an interesting fact. That fact is the Clintons. They want Hillary as the president, and are willing to wait for it.

What % did you give?

I think that Obama will take it. Americans generally give a President two terms.

IMHO Ron Paul was certainly the most interesting candidate (and probably the smartest also), however unelectable.

I missed the deadline to be able to vote - did not even know I could still vote since I am not a US resident..........but besides that Obama had too many stimulus packages to help this one and help that one - I was one of the ones who got the help...............no, they sent me no checks I just got reduced health insurance premiums while I was here qualifying to be an Alberta Resident to be covered under Alberta Healthcare .................. all of the big boys that have been bailed out by many administrations should have been left to flounder because in the end the people who always lose in the States at least are the average taxpayer. The guy or gal who makes enough to pay the bills, hopefully has gotten enough together to buy a house so have a mortgage to pay and usually at least one car payment then one or two kids to take care of with all of their essentials and the next people who lose are those who worked for many years - paid their part of Social Security through their paychecks - live to be old enough to actually draw the checks then watch as their increases are less and less each year, their portion of their health insurance goes up and they balance now can they afford oil to heat their homes this winter.

The Republicans might not be what everyone loves or even likes but I will take a Republican President and Majority of Congress any day over the Bleeding Heart Democrats.

As I told Keg years ago - you vote for the lesser of the two evils ....that is how it has been since I was 18 and could vote until 2008 and you can bet your bottom dollar I will be voting in the next election even for Senator and Congressman/Congresswoman If that is permitted ---- I am not sure how they do that since I have no state I am attached to...........but a friend from here sent me a link I was just too late for this important election. I wanted to vote for my Mom who is retired and who does wonder how she is gonna pay for her oil this winter. Trying to figure out where I have any funds I can send to her oil company to help offset her burden....Keg is putting it all out for our household but me and my two brothers will make sure Mom is taken care of. Cannot wait till I can draw my retirement in 4 more years. I miss a paycheck..............(said tongue in cheek)

YES fer sure the l-e-s-s-e-r of evils, which would leave you with Obama!
Romney just can't wait to go meddle eastward is what he is all secretly about.
The way he shifts his eyes kinda startles me,he's hiding vast amounts of info on an agenda of sorts.
