Yes the security measures were very stringent to get the guns out of the building...

They put a elastic band around my box.

Not sure why.. But they did.
I can understand why they would want to see a receipt.. But a ELASTIC BAND??? Any ideas??

who put the band on? did you have to remove it, and show the firearm when you were leaving, then put it back on? more info

I was there from opening till 2 on Saturday. I saw a lot of commerce going on at the various tables I went to. Most guys that buy guns or anything heavy leave them where they bought them till they are ready to leave. I did the same thing. Bought a 1000 Berger bullets from Paul (Range Sports Unlimited -he was about 20% cheaper than local price) not long after I got there, but I certainly didn't pack them around all morning.

All you had to do was stand near the front doors and watch just how many people were leaving with gun boxes or gun cases through security, and others with large bags full of goodies.

I didn't find anything in the way of guns to buy, though Will Bilozir from Dewinton has some combination rifles that are sorely tempting me. Despite that I did stock back up on Patch out, bullets and brass. There was also a tremendous amount of great stuff to look at and I got to visit with a whole bunch of guys I hadn't seen in quite a while. I think it was a great show. They seem to get better every year.

Noneck. I bought my Yildez from P&D. it came in the original box. As I was going out I was directed to a set of tables where they looked at the receipt, opened the box and put the Elastic band around the box. Then I was on my merry way. BTW. Thanks to P&D for holding it while we finished looking around the store.
Not a big deal to me at all. But I just don't get the Elastic part of it all.

If anyone ever buys a Yildiz make sure you look at all the stock the seller has. There are some real gems in there as far as the wood goes.

Now I just need to have a bag sewn for this fold in 1/2 410. That way it can ride in the storage of the Quad. Handy little gun.

This is my second Yildiz and I doubt it will be my last. I would love a matching 20G for my 12.

Likely to show that it was checked before you left?

Like Cat said,, its like when you have a large box when you leave a retail store and they put tape on it,,but there is no way I would want tape on one of my new guns box, it may wreck the box when the tape is removed, I am anal. IMHO

Perhaps thats it.

But it was such a small elstic band.
WHo knows.. All I know is that the Yildiz collection has grown a little.

Next up.. a 375 H&H Sako 85. I want to match up the 270WSM. Same stock, same scope, same sling.. SAME EVERYTHING. It will be like having twins in the gun case.

Geeze, I forgot to mention that I saw a rifle that would have had Stinky Coyote salivating.....a Blaser R97 in 7mmSTW....only a cool $5k

The one rifle that made me turn my head was an Sako M995 in 30-378. Man that was tempting.....

Always cool to see a few treasures like that.
