A person would think that with no more handgun transfers to do, they would catch up on PAL renewals, except that apparently the staff in Miramichi has been downsized dramatically.

Called in end of sept and again today.

Waiting for them to finalize.

PAL received in mail today, 10 days after speaking to Alberta CFO office.

I just got mine in the mail last friday (Dec. 22, 2023). Applied August 1 using online. Then got a letter telling me my photo was rejected, so send another photo in by mail. Went to CFO's Edmonton office Dec. 4 to enquire about status, the nice employee said they'll approve by end of week, which they did on Dec. 8.

So total 4 1/2 months. I shudder to think about how long it would have taken in other provinces where the provincial CFO's office hasn't taken over the approvals.

And my thanks to the Alberta CFO's office.
