Yes brass stamped 7mm express was made. Bought some from a member here to go with the old Rem BDL I have marked 7MM Express

They did. It apparently caused some confusion too, people bought 7mm express thinking it was 7mm mag.

Default 280 bug

The 280 was on my must build list too; had JR in Pouce Coupe build one. duMoulin knockoff 98 action with double set trigger, Bevan SS barrel, Boyd stock, Zeiss scope. Rec'd it in time for hunting last year and a quick sight in. Knocked over a few deer. This summer a bit more shooting (still using factory loads) - out to 400 yards. Remarkably accurate. Both benching it and shooting off sticks is a breeze - minimal recoil and I think within my limitations as a hunter (400 max) - it will keep meat in the freezer for a long time. Most of my hunting is from blinds so while its a bit on the heavy side due to the Bevan heavy contour barrel I can still pack it too.
