1. Temperature control is always bang on.
2. Wifi is second to none. In the last year zero trouble getting it to work on the app. The GMG was always a pain in the ass and eventually I gave up.
3. Less cleaning and easier to do so.
4. Build quality.
5. No troubles ever starting it. Goes on the first start every time
6. Warranty length. Shows they stand behind the product
7. Heats up fast and no issues getting to 550 minimum all year round

I use my grill year round once or twice a week minimum. I wouldn’t let the touching it in person get in the way. Rectec is a top notch product. My buddy got the same grill as we did the border run together. He loves his just as much if not more as I love it.

Has anyone tried the Ash Kickin' pellets from BBQ galore? They're less than half the price of all the other pellet brands, and a made from a small local Canadian company. I ran some last week and they seemed good, wondering if any one else has any experience with them.

I have run a lot of pellets but not the AK you mentioned . Of late, everything smoked has been on Jax Jealous Devil or Furtado Farms. I like both.

I use Lumberjack brand and find them top notch compared to all the others I have tried over the year, but next batch I buy I am going to give our Alberta local AO member CDNOutdoorsman a PM... He makes pellets I believe and is as local as it gets!
